The King & I Callbacks, Tubing, and Janessa Getting Hit with a Shoulder Rest (Sat. 25 Feb)

Today I went to callbacks for The King and I at 4 PM.  It was pretty awesome because I didn't have to sing.  I went upstairs with a group of girls with the coreographer (sp?) and we learned a dance and then we performed it on the stage.  It was super awesome because they told us that we all made it before we left.  All that they needed to see was that we could dance together.
At 6:45, Janessa and I went to the church.  We waited for everyone to gather and then we left.  We drove to Soldier Hollow to go tubing.

Yesterday Janessa was in orchestra
and the teacher has no control.  These boys throw their shoulder rests and try to make them in the lockers from across the room and the only thing that the teacher told them was that "if you break a shoulder rest, you'll have to pay for it."  So this one kid named Jeffrey aimed really badly and hit Janessa in the head and Mom had to pick her up.  She got taken to the doctor and got two staples in her head.
So, when we arrived at Soldier Hollow, Janessa didn't really want to go down the hill with me.  So we sat in the lodge and talked, played Spitt, did journals, and talked to Sister Bell.  I was going to go down with the leaders when Janessa decided to come.  We went down the hill twice.

Soon after the rope tow closed and so we got a ride back to the church and back to our house.

The King and I/Bye Bye Birdie Audition (Wed. 22 Feb.)

Today I went to a double-casting audition and CSMT for The King and I and Bye Bye Birdie.  The King and I will be at CSMT and Bye Bye Birdie will be a The Art City Playhouse.

It was awesome because I left at 7 PM and was back by 7:20 PM.  The only time I spent waiting was while I was filling out my audition sheet.

Everything was the same as my A Christmas Carol audition.  I sung the same song (Once Upon a Dream), I forgot to list my dancing experience (and Sharilyn had to ask), only Sharilyn and the accompianist were in the room and the audition was in the green room.  That's all the similarities I can remember but that's pretty much everything the same.  So hopefully I'll make it in the cast!

Oh yeah, they told me to come back on Saturday at 4 for callbacks.  (That's another similarity!)

Cat's Vet Visit (Thur. 16 Feb.)

This morning Sanno's ouwie on his upper-arm-shoulder was almost completely closed off but inside was swollen or full of puss so it was like an egg.  So our cats finally got to go to the vet which Brownie has been needing for a very long time.  Mom took them while everyone was at school.

Sanno:
The vet thinks his ouwie is a bite, and I think that it probably came from Brownie.  His ouwie really was so small when he got it; it wasn't more than a scratch but retarded Sanno can't leave the dang thing alone so it turned into something major that required a doctor.  Anyway, he got a shot of antibiotics and he has to take antibiotics three times a day.

Brownie:
He has upper-respritory infection which can't really be cured but it's what is causing him to cough, sneeze and have a super stuffy nose.  It also caused him to have a swollen forehead because of his infected nasal passages.  It also caused anything else that was wrong with him.  He also has tooth/gum problems.  Brownie got a shot of something and also has to take antibiotics three times a day.

Even a day after he went to the vet, Brownie was feeling so much better.  He's become more rebellious and does more than just sleep all day because he can actually breathe and smell.  It's so lovely, it's almost a good thing that Sanno got his ouwie otherwise Brownie would still be suffering.
